COME HERE, Is trying to lose weight by not eating a good idea? Nope. Your body needs fuel to burn. It is a good idea to lose weight by not eating as much as you would like. Portion control does play a role in successful weight loss. 



You know that feeling when your kid or maybe a co worker continues to do something that you have repeatedly told them not to do? Doesn’t it make you sick and tired of telling them over and over? Sometimes you want to beat their head in and see if that will make any sense. It’s like when you have tried over and over different weight loss methods and nothing seems to work. You just feel so sick of it that you either want to give up or go extreme to get it done. Not eating is definitely one of the extreme choices you could make in wanting to shed unwanted pounds.

Skipping meals. Skipping meal times can be effective but isn’t really going to help your metabolism. Skipping meals can make your body go into a panic phase and store fat cells as a safety mechanism. We definitely don’t want to store fat cells. So make sure you don’t skip meals or snack times. This will help keep your metabolism on track.

Fasting. Fasting is different than skipping meals. Fasting is a good idea to do if you do it on a regular basis. I fast one day a month as part of my religion. I have found that not only is it spiritually uplifting, but I lose weight and feel good afterward. At first I would hate fasting. My blood sugar would be all wacked out and I would feel terrible. But, then I started using essential oils to help with my fasting. It was 100% better! It is good for the body to take a rest from digesting at least once a month.

What I mean by hunger indicator is how you feel before you eat, during and after. Before you eat, you should be hungry but not starving. If you get to the starving point, you might eat more calories than you can burn. Once you are eating, stop when you feel satisfied, not full. By eating every few hours, you can keep your hunger indicator in control and fat cells won’t be stored.
